The Active Health Care Clinic was Founded by James Ellis, BSc (Hons) Ost MED, DO,ND,MRO,MRN in 2001 and originally operated under the banner of the Farnham Common Osteopathic Clinic.

James graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine where he completed his BSc honours degree in Osteopathic medicine and Naturopathic medicine, integrating knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and clinical methods such as x-ray analysis, dietetics, stress management and exercise rehabilitation.

He has established a reputation as one of the leading Osteopaths in the South of England treating a wide variety of clients and their problems no matter how challenging. James’s interest in Osteopathy came from his sporting background, in particular Rugby, where James first encountered the benefits of Osteopathy whilst treating one of his many injuries. James is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the British Osteopathic Association and Osteopathic Sports Care Association.

James believes that the benefits of Osteopathy should be available to everyone and that the majority of ailments are caused by poor body Biomechanics that can be cured by developing the right recovery programme for each individual. His reputation has allowed him to build excellent working relationships with local GP’s and prominent surgical consultants providing a first class referral system for patients when applicable.

He expanded the practice in 2009 and now leads a dedicated team of Osteopaths alongside other therapists offering for example, pilates, sports massage, reflexology to provide a holistic approach to patient’s problems.
